I don't know too many folks who keep such close track and can go back by date and show the entire wonderful cycle as you have here and elsewhere. I may never get how to do peonies, but am glad your had a good year. Oh, on the flamingos, copy away! You were very diligent to remember to photograph at all stages! I've never let any of my peonies go to seed but I may have to rethink that. I haven't ever grown a species peony either ~ it's very delicate and the blooms remind me of a hellebore?? You have many unique plants in your garden. I like to push the boundaries of my zone too but I'm in zone 5 so I don't have the liberties you do. Leonotis is one of my favorites but I have to grow it as an annual. I love the series of photos.
