Rare Plant Research has me imagining

succulent cupcakes
Trays of succulents as cupcakes, perfect for a garden party.

pachypodium horombense
Making a miniature landscape with Dyckia as agave and Pachypodium as a tree.

Canna stutgart
canna stutgart
If the huge rhizomes of Canna Stutgart produced similarly huge plants.

If I had planted my new Furcrea already, how nice it would work as a bookend to the container garden

And if you’d had some dry weather in which to plant your furcrea, we’d all be cheering and passing the succulent cupcakes.

BTW, I tries several times to comment on your great front yard post, but WordPress would have none of it. It was a wonderful transformation and you’re a neighbor to value!

Those succulents in the cupcake tray are just too cute. I’m imaging too-about how nice a real cupcake would be but I’d better stick with the plants, less calories:)

Somewhere on some blog I saw pictures of an actual cupcake tin planted up with succulents and hung on a wall. I wish I could remember where and give credit. It looked great.

I bought Canna Stutgart a few years back at RPR. It has been a steady disappointment. I probably have it in the wrong place.

Your miniature landscape would be a very dangerous place…

The “cupcakes” sort of look like little alien beings coming to life. The Furcrea is spectacular already.
